I'm Julio Herrera, a beginner at game development. I love everything about medieval and sci-fi and decided to work on a rpg game that mixes both civilizations. For quite a long now, I've been creating a story that makes sense imo of those two worlds.

The story: It's not about the classic main protagonist coming from the future into the past medieval times but instead, the story occurs in the same period where the main protagonist comes from a technologically advanced place in the modern world and lands on an ancient island mostly in ruins with few medieval people remaining still living like in the old medieval time and have kept same culture, accent, dressing and civilization till now. The main protagonist is not the only modern person on that island. The island holds a technologically advanced base for some experimental technological weapons by a wicked technological modern company. They intend to build and experiment with their massive technologically advanced weapon on the island and then use it in the modern world. They corrupt some native medieval habitants and warriors who joined their cause which you have to fight and have also deployed a modern army on the island to eliminate anyone who intends to harm their project. The main protagonist has the mission to infiltrate the base and end that malicious project that may destroy the modern world. In his quest to make his mission successful, the main character will have access to both medieval weapons (bow, sword,…) and sci-fi elements like data access, audio logs, hacking tools… Basically, those two worlds are living in the same period but one is more advanced and the other still lives in medieval civilization. That said, what do you think about the concept of mixing those two, medieval and sci-fi in the context of the story? Will greatly love and appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.
